This blog post explains how to get the copy or copies of Viva la QueerBar that you backed in the Kickstarter campaign. // Eine Kurzversion auf Deutsch findest du weiter unten.

How it works (for people who don’t speak German)

You will need your coupon code from the message we sent you and the email address you gave us for the digital fulfillment through Itch.io.

Disclaimer: I’ve tried to translate all relevant parts of the checkout process to give you an idea what is happening, but I’m not a licensed translator for legal texts. If in doubt, the German version applies.

Product page:

1. First of all: Don’t worry about the price in the shop being different than the price you paid during the Kickstarter campaign. Your coupon code will still cover the full number of copies you backed.
2. Choose the language(s) you picked on Kickstarter from the “Sprache” dropdown menu. If you backed the two-language bundle in the Kickstarter campaign, make sure to select “Deutsch und English” (= German and English) instead of the two languages individually or your coupon code won’t work properly. The price above should change accordingly (17,95 € for 1 zine in either English or German, 27,95 € for the bundle in both languages).
3. Click “In den Warenkorb”. This puts your item into the shopping cart (which you can access at any time through the logo in the menu at the top of the page).
4. If you backed additional copies as add-ons during the Kickstarter campaign or want to buy additional copies of Viva la QueerBar or of any other game we offer now, select them as before. Everything in the same order will be sent together and covered by the a shipping total (you’ll see that a little later).
5. When you’re done selecting products, click on the shopping cart logo at the top of the page. This brings you to the “Warenkorb” (= shopping cart) page.

Warenkorb (shopping cart):

1. Select your shipping country below the headline “Versandkosten-Information” (= shipping cost information) to check the shipping cost for your location. The country names are given in German (Australia = Australien, Austria = Österreich, Canada = Kanada, France = Frankreich, Netherlands = Niederlande, Slovakia = Slowakei, Spain = Spanien, Switzerland = Schweiz, United Kingdom = Vereinigtes Königreich, United States of America = Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika)
2. Click “Gesamtbetrag aktualisieren” (= update total). This may or may not change the price next to “Versand” (= shipping).
3. Enter your coupon code in the field below “Hast du einen Gutschein?” (= Do you have a coupon?). Note: You can only use the coupon we sent you once. If your coupon doesn’t work, please contact us through support@plotbunnygames.com before you complete your order.
4. Click “Gutschein anwenden” (= apply coupon). This should update the total price above and subtract the price for the product(s) you backed in the Kickstarter campaign. You should only see the shipping cost (and the cost for any additional products you chose to buy).
5. Click “Zur Kasse gehen” (= Go to checkout). This brings you to the “Kasse” (= checkout) page.

Kasse (checkout):

1. Enter your billing address data below “Rechnungsadresse” (= billing address). If you’re ordering from outside the EU, you must enter a phone number (even though the field is marked “optional” by default). Note: the the coupon code is tied to the email address you gave us for the Itch.io fulfillment, so please use that here, too. Otherwise, the coupon code won’t work.
2. If you want, you can enter a different shipping address by clicking on “Lieferung an eine andere Adresse senden?” (= Ship to a different address?)
3. On the left, choose your payment method. If you’re ordering from outside the EU, you probably only have a choice between “Kreditkarte/Debitkarte” (= credit card/debit card) or “PayPal.” If you choose to pay with a credit card, enter your data. The data will only be stored with our payment provider Stripe, not with us.
4. Mark the box next to “Mit deiner Bestellung erklärst du dich mit unseren Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen und Widerrufsbestimmungen einverstanden.” (= By placing this order, you agree to our terms of service and cancellation terms).
5. Mark the box next to “Für digitale Produkte: Ich stimme ausdrücklich zu, dass vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist mit der Ausführung des Vertrags begonnen wird. Mir ist bekannt, dass mit Beginn der Ausführung mein Widerrufsrecht erlischt.” (= I agree explicitly to the beginning of the fulfillment of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period. I am aware that I lose my right of withdrawal as soon as fulfillment begins.”) This is necessary so we can allow you to download the digital files immediately.
6. If you’re ordering from outside the EU, please also mark the box next to “Ja, ich möchte per E-Mail für diese Bestellung eine Paketankündigung vom Paketdienstleister erhalten. Deine E-Mail Adresse wird nur für diesen einmaligen Zweck an unseren Paketdienstleister weitergegeben.” (= Yes, I want to receive a shipping announcement from the shipping partner. Your email address will be passed on to our shipping partner for this one-time purpose only). We need your email address to be able to ship internationally.
7. Check the contents of your order and all prices below the headline “Deine Bestellung” (= your order).
8. To finalize, click “Jetzt kaufen” (= buy now).
9. Wait until you see the page titled “Deine Bestellung ist bei uns eingegangen – vielen Dank! Wir werden sie so schnell wie möglich bearbeiten” (= We have received your order – thank you very much! We will process it as fast as possible”). This may take a few seconds. Please don’t refresh the page or close the browser window before you see that final page.

You will receive an email from us to confirm your order (in German). It will also contain the download link(s) for the PDF version(s) you ordered.

When we ship your order (which will take a few days because we’re waiting for a sizeable number of Kickstarter orders to come in first), you will receive another email with your tracking code.

3. Bestellung prüfen.
4. “Jetzt kaufen” klicken.

Du bekommst eine Bestellbestätigung per E-Mail von uns.

Wenn wir deine Bestellung versandt haben (das wird einige Tage dauern, denn wir warten damit, bis wir eine nennenswerte Menge Bestellungen aus dem Crowdfunding erhalten haben), bekommst du eine weitere E-Mail mit einer Sendungsverfolgungsnummer.
